| Safai Karamchari Union Kathua held protest | | |  ARUN TRISAL

KATHUA, June 25: The Safai Karamchari union of Kathua took out a massive procession in the favour of their demands which have been pending for the last three years.
The procession started from the premises of municipal Kathua and concluded at DC office after submitting the demand charter.
The protest was led by the president of Safai Karamchari Union Kathua Sawan Cheeda . While speaking on the occasion he said that the our main demands are to regularize the daily wagers/casual safai karamchari who have completed their seven years in service, to provide the extra payment of 2 and half day for working on Sunday, and holiday should be on the pattern of other department like P.D.D, Health and etc.
Meanwhile they also halted the way of MLA Kathua near secretariat on college road to register their protest and show their resentment against negligence of the district administration and Director local bodies for not regularizing the daily wagers safai karamchari who have completed their seven years in services inspite of being assured many times.
In the protest rally the vice president Tarsem Lal, general secretary Rafiq, Rani David Masih, Subash Kokar, Thana Masih and etc. were present.
