| Cattle lifters arrested, 11 bovine recovered | | |

Eleven bovine were recovered from a truck late last night by the police, being smuggled to Kashmir. Police in this connection arrested three persons and registered the case against them. According to source, police on a tip-off came to know those bovines are being smuggled to Kashmir valley by the cattle lifters. A police team led by SHO, Jatinder Raina, under the supervision of Dy. SP, Bari Brahman B.S Kundal laid a naka at Mehmoodpur and intercepted the truck No. PB06-7428. The driver gave slipt to police and ran away along with truck. After a long chase, police took the vehicle under control and arrested three persons along with the 11 bovines, kept hidden in the truck.
The arrested persons are Mohinder Singh resident of Deena Nagar Punjab, Mohd Amin son of Mohd sultan of Majalta and Mohd. Irshad S/o Mohd Farid of Reasi.
