| Development committee constituted for Majalta | | | Early Times Report
MAJALTA, Jun 26: People, intellectuals and prominent persons of Majalta Tehsil today assembled at Panchayat Ghar Majalta and elected Tehsil development committee for Majalta.
In a handout issued here today, it has been stated that discussion revolved around the non-sanctioning of Degree College and I.T.I. College for the people of Majalta. Those present during the discussions asserted that an ITI College at Majalta shall meet vocational educational needs of people of the area.
They said that Tehsil is yet to be fully operationalised. People stressed for initiating struggle for other burning demands of the area on non-party basis and also threatened to take all possible steps in case the government does not positively respond to the burning issues. Thakur Ranjit Singh, an octogenarian and noted social worker of the area was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Adhoc committee of Tehsil Development Committee (TDC) Majalta.
