Arms, ammunition recovered from HUJI hideout | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KISHTWAR, June 26: A large quantity of arms and ammunition was today recovered by security forces from a hideout of Harkat-ul-Jehad-e-Islami (HUJI) militant outfit in Sigdi Batta forests of Chatroo, Kishtwar. Acting on a tip-off about the presence of a HUJI hideout in the Sigdi Batta woods, a joint column of police and 11 Rashtriya Rifles launched a combing operation in the morning. While making searches, the jawans came across a natural cave. Its search led them to the recovery of two pistols along with nine rounds, five Chinese grenades, one under barrel grenade launcher (UBGL), four UBGL grenades, two .12 bore riffles and 150 AK rounds. Additional SP, Kishtwar, Kulbir Singh said the hideout was old and had been in the use of HUJI militants. The operation was supervised by SSP, Kishtwar, Bhim Sen Tutti.
