EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, June 26: Punjab Police today made it a one-sided contest when they registered a 7-0 win over Arafat Club in the league round of the ongoing 13th J&K Police Mushtaq Memorial Football Tournament at Polo Ground, here.
Punjab Police footballers were extraordinary in both attack and defence thereby spared little chance for the opponent to reduce the margin.
Meanwhile, in another match of the day, Uttrakhand Police XI trounced District Football Association (DFA) Ganderbal in a well contested match that was decided in tie-breaker. After tied at 2-2 in the stipulated time, Uttrakhand Police emerged winners making it 7-5 in the tie-breaker.
In today’s matches, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed and Law and Order, K Rajendera Kumar was special guest. He was accompanied by host of senior police officers and office bearers of the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA).
