JAMMU, JUNE 27: The Jammu and katra Hoteliers have offered special discount of 30 percent on room tariff on all the advance bookings during the up coming Amrnath Yatra.
The representatives of the Hotelier Associations offered the discount at a meeting with the director tourism Jammu convened to discuss comfortable stay of pilgrims during the annual Himalayan cave yatra in Kashmir.
The Director Tourism apprised the representatives of the tourism trade industry about the arrangements which the department has been making for the smooth flow of the yatra every. He underscored the immense importance of the hospitality sector in making the yatra successful. He asserted that as lakhs of pilgrims would be pouring into Jammu for one and half month’s stay in Jammu has to be made as comfortable and convenient as possible. He recalled and appreciated the cooperation extended during the previous years by the hospitality sector in the arrangements made for the yatris. The hospitality urged upon to extend the same level of cooperation this year too. He called upon the representatives to provide discounts on room tariff to the pilgrims during the duration of the yatra as per past practice.
