| WB Police, RPF blank opponents in football | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, June 27: West Bengal Police and Railway Protection Force (RPF) today blanked opponents in the ongoing league round of the 13th J&K Police Mushtaq Memorial Football Tournament at Polo Ground, here.
In the first match of the day, West Bengal Police defeated Jahangir Sports by three goals to nil. Later, RPF trounced Maharaja Sports in similar fashions making it a 4-0 win.
Today’s matches were witnessed besides others by Additional Director General of Police (Armed), K Rajendra Kumar and other senior police officers and members of the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA).
FIXTURE: Saffalo Club shall take on West Bengal Police at 3.30 pm, followed by the second match scheduled to be played between CRPF and Punjab Police at 5 pm at Bakshi Stadium.
