Benia bags Kanjli Kesari dangal title

JAMMU, June 27: Wrestler Benia of J&K Police clinched 51st Annual Kanjali Kesari title which was organised by Kanjali Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. In the main bout Benia beat Rahul Khudu of Guru Hanuman Akhara Delhi to receive a cash prize of Rs 8,000. Runners-up, Rahul got Rs 7,000.
The second main bout won by Kamaljot (Billa) of Khanna, who beat Sukha of Rajasthan while third bout went to Mohit of Khanna after he defeated Mantri of Guru Hanuman Akhara Delhi. In the fourth bout Babbar of Delhi defeated Billa of Mohali in Chandigarh. Fifth main bout went to Manoj Kumar of Khanna beating Sher Singh of Chandigarh.
Former minister, Jugal Kishore Sharma was chief guest in this day-long dangal, who gave away winners and runners-up prizes and other individual prizes. President of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and member State Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma presided. Naresh Kumar, Sarpanch Kanjali, Sham Lal Sharma, Sarpanch Karua Ram Parkash and Sarpanch Rajinder Thappa were among others prominent present.
Member of organizing committee and those technical officials who helped in smooth conduct of dangal were Surinder Kumar, Jagdev Singh, Sarpanch Sham Lal, Mohd. Alam, Numberdar Mangat Ram, Chain Singh, Numberdar Rattan Singh, Papu Lakri, Manjoor Hussian, Mohd. Fareed, Allah Mai (Ranga) and Bittu Raina.

Other Results: Billa of Chandigarh beat Dillar Khan of Nargada Jammu; Amir Khan of Jammu beat Gurdev Singh of Devigarh; Yaswant of Rajasthan beat Pawan of Khanna; Gurdev Singh of Devigarh beat Liakat Ali of Anji and Vijay Singh of Kanjali beat Amin of Nargada.
