| Plus 2 lecturers call on Peerzada | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, June 27: The delegation of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers Forum has met Minister for Education Peerzada Mohd Sayeed and discussed in length overall scenario in the School Education Department.
Minister stated that the regularization of incharge incumbents in school education department is on cards which was appreciated by all the members of the forum.
The delegation expressed its satisfaction and gratitude to the minister for on spot assessment of the situation and study the problems being at the grass root level. The delegation hailed the Minister for announcement of regularization of incharge lecturers, principals and other officers at the earliest.
The delegation drew the attention of minister towards his announcement for upgrading Higher Secondary School to ‘intermediate colleges’. The other issues discussed included filling up of vacant posts of lecturers, principals, CEOs and joint directors and transfer of lecturers from Leh/Kargil district.
The delegation also appreciated the efforts of Director School Education G A Quershi for reformative steps to streamline the system with the involvement of teachers fraternity from bottom to top to achieve the goal of quality education and academic excellence.
The Minister for Education after a comprehensive discussion assured the delegation that the regularization of incharge incumbents in school education department is on cards and the order for upgradation of higher secondary school as intermediate colleges are being issued very soon.
The delegation led by its State president H D Quershi, Charan Dass, Manmeet Bali vice presidents, N S Jamwal, general secretary, Ashwani Sharma chief organizer, B D Sharma district president Jammu, O P Katoch, Talib Hussain and Bikram Singh.
