| Shivdev honoured in Uttrakhand | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, June 27: Prof. Shiv Dev Singh Manhas presently working as professor in the Dogri Department of Jammu University was honoured in a function held at Joshi Math Uttrrakhand some days earlier.
A three days "National Child Literature Convention" was held wherein Prof. Shivdev Manhas was hounoured in a ceremony which concluded on June 23 at Madhav Ashram, Joshimath Chamoli, Uttrakhand.
Prof Shivdev Singh Manhas was hounoured for his special contribution in two children's magazines "Bal Begul" "Bal Parhari" which were published from Joshimath and Almora respectively.
He was conferred with "Sumitra Nandan Pant Samriti Sahitaya Samman" award by the host of the convention Uday Kirola by giving Shawl and a certificate.
Manhas has been contributing in various other national children magazines namely "Chanda Mama" "Nandan" "Lot Pot" "Madhu Muskan" "Bal Hans" "Bal Bharti" "Prag" etc. for the last 25 years.
Meanwhile four students of Dogri department of JU also participated in the three days long convention and were appreciated by the audience.
