EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 27: In yet another case of how our society is heading towards moral ruin, a recent case of sexual exploitation of B.ed girl has again exposed the vulnerability of our sisters and daughters.
Though the accused have been arrested by the police while he was fleeing towards Kashmir, but it raises lot of question about the moral degradation of our society, which has long tradition of ‘Guru-Shiysha’ concept.
Sources said that it could be a tip of the ice berg as there are number of people who are exploiting the innocent girls.
However the concern is how to stop this menace which is like a curse on our society.
A college student said that at times girls face mental harassment in shape of comments, sudden touch or lewd gestures from the teachers, but it is mostly ignored.
Few days back, a teacher of a private college was arrested for allegedly making an obscene MMS of a student in mountainous Kishtwar district.
'The teacher identified as Tariq Qayoom Tak, resident of Kishtwar clipped the MMS of a BEd student of a private college and circulated it among his friend circle.
Later after receiving the information, police had arrested the teacher from Vailoo area towards Anantnag via Simpthantop while he was escaping from the police.
“It is totally unacceptable and strong action should be taken against him as he is black spot on the teaching community”, said Tilak Raj, a teacher in private school.
Station House Officer (SHO) Kishtwar, Farooq Ahmed said that they raided the institute on a specific information and seized all the electronic gadgets and print material from the coaching centre beside this they also raided residence of the accused.
He further said that the interrogation would be continued and the department also takes into limelight those people who support the accused.
Director School Education, Gulzar Ahmad Qurshi said that he is not aware of this porn CD scam but now he would investigate the entire matter and taking suitable step against him.
He further said that the education department has submitted the new guidelines or norms Performa in the Secretariat for the private educational coaching centers and the department check the entire information about that man, who have coaching centre as well as who
will open.
Interestingly, the education department implements the guidelines for the private institute, which is functioning since last year but the norms or guidelines not implement as far.
