PDP lashes at Omar for ignoring Kishtwar on tourism front | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, June 28: Shakir Hussain Saddiqui, district president Peoples Democratic Party Kishtwar has registered strong resentment for ignoring Kishtwar by the Omar Abdullah led Government on the front of bringing it on the tourism map. He said that Former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayed has framed Kishtwar Development Authority (KDA) with the objective of exploiting the tourism potential of district Kishtwar, but lashes out at the present coalition Government for not allotting funds to KDA with the result that this agency has become totally toothless and Kishtwar has been deprived of its right and share in the developmental share. In his press statement issued here, Siddiqui lashed out at the State Government for ignoring Kishtwar and urged CM Omar Abdullah to personally intervene into the matter and allot the funds to Kishtwar Development Authority (KDA) and also direct minister for tourism Rigzin Jora to visit the interior of the district Kishtwar and identify the tourist spots so that they could be exploited as it could generate employment avenues for the educated unemployment youths of this otherwise backward district.
