Lt.Gen Rajendra interacts with Bandipora elders

Chief of Staff Northern Command Lt Gen Rajender Singh interacted with a group of elders from Bandipore of Kashmir who returned from a tour of Jaipur and Ajmeer. The group consisting of 10 female and 20 male belonging to both Hindu and Muslim communities of the age group of 50 years and above were taken on the tour by the Army as a part of its people friendly project Operation Sadbhavana.
The elders offered prayers jointly for peace and harmony in Jammu and Kashmir both at Ajmeer Sharief, Brahma temple and Birla Mandir.
While interacting with the group, Chief of Staff inquired about the experience of the tour, exhorted the elders to carry the message of peace, harmony and progress to youth of the state and motivate them to become integral part of the development process. He said the misguided youth in Jammu and Kashmir needed to understand the value of peace, prosperity and democracy for which the elders are the best teachers.
