| Power shut down | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, JUNE 28- To carry out stringing of conductor on re-erected 33 KV Janipur- Muthi line damaged on 17-06-2011, the power supply to Muthi, Domana, Dream City, Machillian, Domana Machine, Udhaywalla, Lala Da Bagh, Bhori, B.S.F, Doordarshan, MES, Nagbani Floura, K.C.Public School and adjoining areas shall remain affected on June 29,2011 from 7.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
According to Superintending Engineer, EM&RE Circle-1, Jammu, the shut down shall be subject to fair weather conditions.
Meanwhile, shut down of 220 KV Sarna-Hiranagar transmission line by Power Grid Corporation of India has not been availed on June 28, 2011 for carrying out of stringing in the span 5-6 of 132 KV D/C Mahanpur-Kathua transmission Line.
Now the above shutdown shall be availed by Power Grid Corporation India on June 29, 2011 from 9.00 a.m. to 5 p.m. instead of June 28, 2011.
The power Development Department shall use all possible means to ensure power supply to the affected areas of Kathua District through alternate transmission lines but Department might impose un-avoidable curtailment due to system constraints.
