| Police accords affectionate farewell to DIG | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, JUNE 28- District Police Udhampur accorded an affectionate farewell to Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mr. Surinder Gupta on his promotion and transfer from Udhampur as Senior Superintendent of Police, here today.
Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Mr. Dilbag Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Udhampur- Reasi Range, Mr. Jagjit Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Mr. Baseer Ahmed Khan, Senior Superintendent of Police, Udhampur, Mr. Shakeel Ahmed Baig, Senior Superintendent of Police, Reasi Keshav Rama Chaurasia and other senior police and CRPF officers were present on the occasion.
IGP, Jammu Zone complimented Mr. Gupta for his promotion as DIG. He said Mr. Gupta by the virtue of dedication, devotion and coordinated approach rendered his services in the district as a SSP and left no stone unturned in providing best policing to the people. The tenure of Mr. Surinder Gupta in the district would be remembered by the public in future, the IGP said. He also hope that the new posted SSP would also do his best in setting excellent examples by providing best policing to the people of the district.
DIG, Udhampur- Reasi Range, appreciated the coordinated team work of SSP Mr. Gupta and Additional SP Mr. Bhupinder Singh even in the most challenging situations from time to time. Describing both out going officers as honest and dedicated one, he said that they tackled every state of affairs effectively. He hoped that the officers would handle their new portfolios in a most efficient manner and set new records.
Terming Mr. Surinder Gupta as most efficient and dynamic officer, the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur said that Gupta had put his best efforts to maintain the whole district as peaceful and calm place. The contribution of Mr. Gupta would be remembered by the civil society for his good work. He further said that the district police under his guidance conducted recent panchayat elections in a most successful way. He wished him every success for his whole career. He also hoped that Mr. Shakeel Ahmed Baig would also be proved as an excellent SSP in the district.
DIG Mr. Gupta expressed his gratitude to all the police officers who worked sincerely during his tenure as SSP in the district even in the most challenging situations. He also thanked the Deputy Commissioner for extending every cooperation in running the affairs smoothly.
