| Big 136 runs win for Chairman XI in President Cup | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 28: In the ongoing President Cup League Tournament, organised by Jammu and Kashmir Association (JKCA) at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here, Chairman XI registered an impressive 136 runs win over Treasurer XI.
Chasing a total of 358 runs made by Chairman XI losing nine wickets in given 90 overs on the first day of the two-day game yesterday, Treasurer XI bowled out for 222 runs in 75.1 overs.
Guru Partap Singh and Ajit Pal Singh were two batsmen, who could show some resistance to the bowling attack of Chairman XI, contributing maximum 56 and 36 runs respectively.
Ankit Basin and Vimarsh Kaw played fast innings and lost wickets in an attempt to add quick runs. While Ankit made 21 runs, Vimarsh added 27-ball 28. Sahil Sharma was other prominent scorer with 25 runs in his account.
From Chairman XI, all-rounder, Ram Dayal was most successful bowler with four for 62 in 30 overs, including four maiden. Raman Dutta and Deepak Manhas bagged two wickets each. Dilawar and Shubham Khajuria also shared apiece each.
