Sikh organisations condemn arrest of Wazir Demand probe by sitting judge of High Court | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 28: The Sikh leaders of various organizations have condemned the arrest of former MLC and chairman state Gurdwara Parbandhak Board Trilochan Singh Wazir in Chopra murder case. In a meeting of various Sikh organizations held under the chairmanship of President AISSF J&K Harcharan Singh Khalsa, speakers alleged that arrest of Wazir is a deep rooted conspiracy to defame his religious and political image. The conspirators were planning for a long time to defame Wazir and his family and finally they succeeded by using section 164A of law as a weapon against him. They said it is also clear from the drama planned by opponents as the statement of Surinder Singh Kala came into light only a few days before the commencement of Gurdwara election in state and also two days before the summer vacations of high court. Conspirators feared their defeat in Gurdwara election due to Trilochan Singh Wazir’s popularity among Sikh Sangat and Panthik forces. Speakers also questioned the working of Special Investigation Team (SIT), as state police never pointed involvement of Wazir in last six years. They demanded an inquiry in whole episode by a sitting judge of High Court as the faith of common masses has been shattered with the working of inquiry agencies. The meeting urged Chief Minister and Governor to look into the matter personally to unveil the conspiracy and persons involved.
