BJYM held demonstration over unscheduled power cuts | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 28: Hundreds of activists of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), led by state President Munish Sharma, held a strong protest demonstration outside the office of PDD at Parade over unscheduled power cuts in Jammu. The morcha activists were carrying party flags and raising slogans against long cuts of electricity. Munish Sharma while addressing the morcha activists, said that in these days when the temperature has crossed 43 degrees, the people of Jammu are made to suffer due to unscheduled cuts of electricity. Today, when almost all the areas of Jammu have been metered, still long power cuts are imposed by the PDD. Munish Sharma said that maximum revenue is collected from Jammu by the department but consumers of Jammu are made to suffer. Without caring for the needs of the Jammuites, the electricity is diverted to Kashmir. Sharma said that the Chief Minister, who is having direct charge of the department should not test the patience of the Jammuites and direct the department officials to take effective steps to provide respite to the suffering people of Jammu. Sanjay Baru, Surinder Choudhary, Vijay Choudhary, Vipan Shastri, Adarsh Bhagat, Jaideep Samyal, Manoj Kumar, Mohinder Singh, Nitish Kumar and others took part in this protest demonstration.
