Situation in Kashmir has improved: Shri Ram Sena | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 28: President, Shri Ram Sena Rajiv Mahajan said today that the present situation and political atmosphere in Kashmir Valley has improved and hopes that the same will continue to prevail till the pilgrimage of Amarnath is over. Addressing a press conference here today, Rajiv Mahajan said that recently he visited the valley to study the present situation in Valley besides observing the arrangements made for the safety of Amarnath pilgrims. He said there are some issues which he would discuss with the authorities for further improvement and safe journey of the pilgrims of Baba Amarnath. While referring to the development of tourism infrastructure in Jammu region, Mahajan said though a Gandola (rope way) from Patntiop to Kud was envisaged by the then Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, the proposal it seems has been suspended. Mahajan appealed to the State Government to start work on Gandola Tourist Rope Car service at Patnitop in the interest of the development of the Tourism sector in Jammu Province. Shri Ram Sena leader Appreciating the arrangements made for Amarnath Yatris as well as tourists visiting Kashmir, Shri Ram Sena leader thanked Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as well as the Tourism Minister Nawang Rigzin Jora for ensuring smooth and peaceful journey of the tourists/pilgrims.
