| Bhim for formidable India-China alliance | | | NEW DELHI NOV-24 Suggesting that China and India should form a formidable alliance to provide a balance of power in the international sphere to fill the vacuum created by the collapse of USSR, Prof Bhim Singh Chairman of the National Panthers’ Party has impressed upon China to change its traditional attitude towards Jammu and Kashmir which is no more a disputed territory or on the Security Council agenda. Prof Sing issued this statement here today after returning from 9-day tour to China as a part of his concluding chapter of around the world tour started in 1967 on Motorcycle on Peace Mission. Prof Sing visited Shanghai to attend a seminar on Internal Development in South Asia organized by the Shanghai Institute for International Studies held on November 14 and 15. He said that his impression about Chinese was unique adding that they are wonderful, loving and look towards India as great friends. He said that there is apprehension among the Chinese thinkers and policy makers that USA is trying to impose India on China and on the South Asian region adding that the same is the guess work of Pakistan. ‘Indian leadership has to create a cordial political atmosphere in the region to dispel this wrong impression among the policy makers in China’, the NPP leader observed.
