BJP continues protest against price rise | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, June 28: Continuing its agitation against the hike in prices of fuel and essential commodities, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday staged a protest at Talab Tillo. The protest was staged by the BJP activists of Jammu West Talab Tillo Mandal. They were led by Mandal president Pushpa Wazir. Besides state BJYM president Munish Sharma and district president Jammu Mahanagar Rajesh Gupta also took part in the protest. Speaking on the occasion, Gupta asked them to continue the struggle against “anti-people” policy and decision of the Congress-led Central government and state government. She demanded that the UPA government should immediately roll-back on recent price-hike of LPG and Kerosene oil “The wrong policies of the congress have not only added to the woes of common people due to price rise but have also slowed down the progress of the country,” he said. In her address, Pushpa Wazir said that the sudden high increase in the price of LPG would have an adverse and cascading effect on the management of day to day household budget of housewives and women particularly those belonging to economically lower sections of society. Mandal Prabhari (in charge) Sanjay Baru said that rise in diesel prices would cause overall increase in the transport charges, thereby leading to price rise on all fronts and making life more miserable for the common man.
