NCP convention concludes at Sanasar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 29:
A two day conclave (convention) of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), concluded at Sanasar today. The objective of organising the convention was to discuss on the subject of empowering Panchayats in J&K state by implementing 73rd and 74th Amendments. It was organized by the State President, National Front of Indian Trade Union (NFITU), Bodhraj Salaria- Ramban District President of NCP and newly elected Sarpanch from Sanasar, to highlight the backwardness of Sanasar, difficulties being faced by the villagers and unemployed youth of Sanasar as well. The chief guest on the occasion, Rajya Sabha Member, Govind Rao Adik, National General Secretary NFITU and Incharge Nationalist Kisan Sabha in his address lamented the backwardness of this resourceful and picturesque place and for this he blamed all the successive state governments. He assured the villagers that he would highlight their all issues in the parliament and also seek the help of Union Agriculture Minister and NCP National President, Sharad Pawar. He suggested the state government to tap the tourism and agriculture potential of Sanasar to uplift the economy of the locals here. He also felicitated the newly elected Sarpanch of Sanasar, Bodhraj Salaria, Sarpanch of Sana Rafiq Ahmed Wani and Sarpanch of Kadma,Uttam Chand and several Panches of their respective Panchayats. Satte NCP President Thakur Randhir Singh said that not much progress in the area has been made after his tenure as minister of tourism and demanded the establishment of a Kissan Guest House at Sanasar.
