Govt making mockery of education system, Baloria | entrusted with triple responsibilities | |
EARLY TIMES Report
Jammu, Jun 29: The National Secular Forum (NSF) has lambasted the State Government for taking education sector for granted by imposing three crucial duties on a single person M S Baloria.
While addressing media persons, NSF state president Vikas Sharma said that Baloria is holding the positions of GGM Science College and Nodal Officer of Jammu colleges besides, being the secretary of JK Board of School Education.
"It's a joke with the system that a person who was appointed as JKBOSE Secretary a month ago has still not been relieved from his previous positions. It is a million dollar question that how can he be maintained on two altogether different positions," Sharma said. This proves the non-seriousness of Higher Education Department towards the functioning of prestigious GGM Science College.
The Department has given the impression that a single person can handle the affairs of JKBOSE and a prestigious college in remote manner.
It's a mockery of the system which is not acceptable to the student community. Now-a-day, the admissions are in full swing as well as the process of contractual lecturer appointment is going on. Under the circumstance role of Nodal Officer is critical but, again Baloria is handling this responsibility remotely.
Sharma warned the Government to immediately relieve Baloria of additional responsibilities and appoint someone else to the post of College Principal and Nodal Officer otherwise; NSF will resort to protest demonstration in the college.
Among those who were present in the press conference included Shafqat Malik, Kamaldeep Singh, Sukdev Singh, and Ravi Choudhary.
