CM chairs BOG meet of Sainik School Manasbal | Package of terminal benefits approved for its employees | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, JUNE 29 – Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Wednesday chaired the meeting of Board of Governors of J&K Sainik School, Manasbal here and took stock of its functioning.
The meeting convened by the Chief Minister was first in last 7 years. It discussed various matters pertaining to the infrastructure development, academic status, welfare of teachers and other employees, medical facilities, budget and other developmental and administrative issues.
The Chief Minister approved Rs. 40 lakhs for the construction of residential quarters for Class-IV employees of the Sainik School and replacement of old furniture in the hostels.
He also approved working out of terminal package for the employees of the school by the Finance and Planning Departments.
He fixed three months timeline for this purpose.
The meeting was attended by Minister for School Education, Peerzada Mohammad Sayed, Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, B. B. Vyas, Commissioner Secretary Finance, Sudhanshu Pandey, Commissioner Secretary School Education, Naseema Lanker, Chief of the Staff 15th Crops, S. S. Gill and Principal Sainik School, Manasbal, Ajaz Ahmad Kakroo.
The Principal presented the resume of the activities of the school giving details of academic status, administrative setup, infrastructural facilities, extra-curricular activities and availability of teaching faculty.
He also explained the items of the agenda and budgetary requirement of the school.
