Working President XI makes 180 for 6 amidst rain

JAMMU, June 29: Amidst rains, Working President XI today made 180 runs for the loss of six wickets in 64 overs on the opening day of the two-day President Cup league tournament, organised by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, Working President won the toss and decided to bat first. When the stumps were drawn because of showers, Chetan Chib and Nitin Mehra were at the crease with 35 and 34 runs in their respective accounts while Manik Gupta added 20 runs. Bandeep Singh made quick 18-ball 16 runs.
From General Secretary XI, skipper, Dhruv Mahajan emerged as most successful bowler with three for 56 in 15 overs while Arshed Sheikh took two and Dilbagh Singh bagged one.
