CD Volunteers set-up facilitation camps for Yatris | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar June 30: On the instructions of Additional Director General of Police Civil Defence, Home Guards and Auxiliary Police, Dr. Ram Lubayya, the Civil Defence Organisation has set up facilitation camps for Yatries of Shri Amarnathji at Pantha Chowk, Dalgate, Sonamarg, Baltal, Anantnag, Nunwan and Pahalgam. The smart young Civil Defence (CD) Volunteers donning Yellow Coloured Fluorescent Jackets and Maroon Coloured Caps are going to facilitate the Yatries. At Pantha Chowk there were 41 CD Volunteers guided by their Principal Mrs. Sabiya Drabu and the staff members of the school. Some Volunteers were seen assisting the Traffic Police in management of the Traffic, due to the heavy rush of vehicles. Many volunteers were offering drinking water to the Yatries and some were helping with the directions for entering the City. These CD Volunteers recently completed 6 days Disaster Preparedness & First Aid Training which was organised by Divisional Disaster Management in collaboration with Civil Defence & Red Cross Society. The CD camp has been established by Dy. Controller CD, Rafiq Ahmed, Chief Warden, Omar Nedou, Dy. Chief Warden, Mauzam Bakshi and Divisional Warden, Aamir Ali. |
