| Nilesh Sathe is Zonal Manager, LIC North Zone | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, June 30: Nilesh Sathe , Executive Director , LIC has taken charge as Zonal Manager of Northern Zone of LIC from July 1 on retirement of V K Sinha , the current Zonal Manager. Sathe is an commerce post graduate with additional qualifications in banking and insurance.
He joined LIC in 1983 as a Direct Recruit Officer and has successfully headed many important assignments in different Zones of LIC like Sr. Divisional Manager of two Divisions in Mumbai and Chief ,Pension & Group Schemes( P & GS). In P & GS within 4 years he created history by increasing the assets under management to Rs 70,000 crores from Rs 28,000 crores.
As E.D., he nurtured the newly launched distribution channel of LIC i.e. the “Chief Life Insurance Advisors” and turned it into the 2nd dominant distribution channel of LIC.
As the leader of this Zone , Sathe will focus on a substantial growth in business along-with corresponding achievements in the servicing areas so that LIC North Zone once again occupies the “numero uno” position in the Corporation.
Apart from Banking and Insurance, he has special interest in Drama & Indian music. On many occasions his interviews have been aired on major TV channels. His articles on Insurance have also been published in widely circulated newspapers.
