Find out if institute is competent to run B.Ed. course: HC to authorities

JAMMU, June 30: High court vacation judge, Justice J P Singh today directed authorities concerned to find out if an educational trust at Kathua possessed the requisite infrastructure to run B.Ed. course.
The court directive came in a writ petition filed by jai jagdambay
charitable trust and educational research institute, Kathua, seeking permission to run B.Ed. college and direction to the authorities concerned for the inspection of infrastructure.
It was alleged that the respondents had neither given permission to run the college nor conducted inspection of the site.In this connection, Justice Singh issued notice to commissioner/secretary, higher education, competent authority and Jammu university registrar The court also directed the commissioner/secretary and the competent authority through the nodal officer to conduct inspection of the proposed site for the college within two weeks and find out if the institute of the petitioner possessed requisite infrastructure for running B.Ed course.
