Ranjeet, Pritpal help Jr Khalsa’s reach semis | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 30: The duo of Ranjeet Singh and Pritpal Singh today helped Junior Khalsa Cricket Club (JKCC) to make it a big 105 runs win against Lucky Star Cricket Club (LSCC) on way to the semi-finals of the Narinder Sharma Memorial Cricket (non-affiliated club) Tournament underway at MA Stadium, here. Earlier, Ranjeet hit a splendid unbeaten innings of 101 (off 77 balls, 11x4) to guide his side to a competitive total of 249 runs for four in 30 overs. Later, Pritpal bowled brilliant spell to reduce LSCC to a small total of 144 in 28.2 overs. Besides Ranjeet, Gurpreet Singh also batted well contributing 62 runs while Harinder Pal and Puneet added 34 and 12 runs to the team’s total. From LSCC, Sunny Dogra, Lovedeep Singh and Sunil shared one wicket each. In reply, Lucky Star played under pressure and could not maintain the required run rate. The whole side bowled out for 144 runs in 28.2 overs. Lovedeep Singh was top scorer with 32-ball 44 runs, followed by Vishal and Vijay, who made 28 and 16 runs respectively. From Junior Khalsa, Pritpal Singh bowled excellent spell taking away four wickets for 37 runs in six overs. Gurpreet bagged two while Sushant and Surinder shared apiece each.
