PK closely following present political situation in J&K: Chrangoo | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 30:
PANUN KASHMIR (PK) president Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, today said that PK is closely following the political events that have implication on the fate and future of the Pandit community and the Indian nation. Addressing a meeting of executive council, Chrungoo said that Pandits are conscious of historical experiences that have led to their present state of affairs. Neither can Kashmiri Pandit community forget the facts of history which confirm that the members of the community were refused coexistence time and again in Kashmir. The exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits is a tragedy of enormous proportions. It cannot be ameliorated by half-hearted and ordinary measures. Prof. M L Raina, Chairman, PAC clarified that there has to be a complete and comprehensive geo-political dispensation for the community which alone will meet its aspirations. The Kashmiri Pandit community has a fundamental right over the opportunities of earning livelihood in the state. But these opportunities cannot be made an exploitation tool to hoodwink the public opinion and sideline the actual issues regarding exodus and resettlement of the community. The displaced Kashmiri Pandits need real-time succor and support instead of populist sops. Virender Raina, National Spokesperson-PK said that the actions and statements emanating from the Indian foreign office do not inspire much confidence in the displaced community. Pakistan will continue to fan terrorist violence against India and no amount of talks are going to prevent Pakistan. Terrorism has been an instrument of the state policy of Pakistan and a blackmailing tool to gobble ‘western aid’. Pakistan has always treated terrorism on its soil as its ‘strategic asset against India in regard to Kashmir ’. India needs to be very watchful and firm in its actions and no naïve diplomacy is going to work against Pakistan.
