13 Rashtriya Rifles organizes medical-cum-veterinary camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 30: A medical-cum- veterinary camp was organized by 13 Rashtriya Rifles (KUMAON) under the aegis of Headquarters 3 Sector Rashtriya Rifles at Sumbal on a grand scale to ensure health and medical care for the civil population of Sonawari tehsil. A team of 10 doctors attended all health related complaints of the local populace in Sumbal tehsil. The team of doctors included 4 army doctors and 6 civil doctors including lady doctor. A total of 1320 patients including 479 males 429females, 412 children derived benefits from the camp organised by the Indian Army. Apart from this, a total of 1280 animals to include mules, cows, goats, poultry and sheeps were also treated by the Army veterinary Officer. Three wheel chairs and one crutch were distributed to four disabled persons of Sonawari tehsil. Col Manish Chaturvedi, SM, Commanding Officer 13 Rashtriya Rifles was present at the camp. He exhorted the locals to obtain maximum benefits from such medical cum vet camp organised by Army on regular intervals. The camp was welcomed whole heartedly by the locals. The unit organising the camp has been involved in large number of other welfare projects to help the locals, which in turn has earned a lot of Goodwill and appreciations from all. The locals expressed their gratitude towards the Army for reaching out to the local populace. This noble deed by Army further strengthens the bond between Jawan and Awam.
