| Blind murder solved, accused held from Punjab | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 30 : Police have solved the blind murder of a man whose body was recovered from an unfrequented piece of land at Preet Nagar, Digiana, here on June 20 last.
Bihari Lal's body was badly decomposed when it was recovered by police. He had a deep head injury. The hammer, used in the killing, was also recovered by police.
During investigation, it became known to police that he was last seen with his neighbour Noushad Khan, a mason by profession.
A tip-off today led police to the arrest of Noushad from Dina Nagar in Punjab. He originally hails from Bihar.
Police said he allegedly killed Bihari for money. A murder case was registered against him at Gangyal police station. |
