Pety politics Rahulji ! | Focus on next generation' | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 30: Politicians always think of the next election. Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi has proved it twice during the past two months. It was pety politics that took him to Mayawati's land twice and not his love for the country or the people of Uttar Pradesh. Notwithstanding India shining claims, the country's picture is not as rosy as is being projected by the politicians. In Uttranchal and Jharkhand the government sponsored gunmen commonly known as Salva Judum wreak havoc with peoples' lives. The Supreme Court also took serious note the excesses perpetrated by the renegade group. Rahul Gandhi's heart never missed a beat for them. He never visited the area for obvious reasons. Rahul entered Mayawatti's domain yet again yesterday to condemn rape of a 14-year-old girl. He spent around twenty minutes with the affected family and also visited the police station where the heinous crime was committed. According to Delhi Police a girl is raped every three minutes in Delhi and other metropolitan cities. In most of the cases, the police never register an FIR. How many victims has Rahul visited in Delhi? And why is he concentrating on Mayawatti alone? Kashmir was in flames last year. The summer agitation left more than 115 persons dead. The deceased included school going children and young girls as well. Not to speak of visiting Kashmir, Rahul did not even express sympathy with the victims. Jammu which used to be a strong bastion of Congress suffered losses worth thousands of crores during the past three years. Rahul failed the people of Jammu as well. He has a strong reason for ignoring Jammu Kashmir? The state is ruled by his close friend Omar Abdullah. To uphold this friendship, he has to be deaf to hysterical streams emanating from valley. He has to be blind to the losses suffered by the Jammu people. Jammu people do not want doles from him but his party has thrived in the region. The Congress general Secretary, therefore, was under a moral obligation to visit the abode of gods. Rahul is going to be the next prime Minister of India. He should not, therefore, behave like a typical politician. He has to be a statesman and must have eyes on next generation |
