| DDC reviews Functioning of NCLP schools | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR JULY 01- To review the functioning of schools being run under centrally sponsored National Child Labour Project (NCLP) in district Udhampur, District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Mr. Baseer Ahmed Khan, convened a meeting with district Officers and NGOs associated with National Child Labour Project, Udhampur here today.
Chief Planning Officer, H.H Dutt, Project Director, NCLP Udhampur, Mr. Ram Paul Choudhary, Additional SP, Udhampur, Mr. Rajinder Gupta, Project Officer, ICDS, Mrs Anjana Tikku, Project Officer, DRDA, Mr. Susheel Sharma, Chief Education Officer, Mr. S.K Gandotra, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Anil Amla, Coordinator NYK, Representative of Rotary Club Udhampur and other officers of various departments attended the meeting.
The meeting after holding detailed discussion on issues pertaining to smooth functioning of the Project took various decisions including approval of panels for recruitment of school staff against vacant posts, extension of service for one year of the staff, transfer of balance amount of funds of survey, shifting of NCLP bank account and NCLP District Office and conducting of fresh survey of child labour in the district.
It was decided in the meeting that a team of National Youth Corps of Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) would be involved to conduct the survey of child labour in the district. For the purpose, the DDC instructed the Project Director NCLP Udhampur and District Coordinator NYK to workout a comprehensive programme for conducting the survey and holding of week long orientation programme for imparting basic training to NYK volunteers for conducting fresh survey.
