| Wrestling coaching camp for school children commences | | |
KATRA NOV 24 An eight-day wrestling coaching camp for school children organized by J&K Style Wrestling Association in collaboration with the Udhampur District Indian Style Wrestling Association commenced at Govt. Middle School Badhota, near Udhampur in Block Panchari. To aware the coming generation about the Indian Style of Wrestling. Sardari Lal Dubey, President Distt. Udhampur Indian Style Wrestling Association presided over the function while Shiv Kumar Sharma, President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association who was the Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion ,he said that the camp was organized for the first time in this area to educate the young generation particularly students about the aims and objectives which are beneficial in the field of Wrestling like other games. This camp will open new avenues for the students in the field of sports. The students should learn techniques of the competition so that they can participate national level sports events. He further said that by organizing such type of events in remote and far flung areas, youth will be made rich in the traditional Indian Style Wrestling which will keep their health good and mentally strong and also teaches the lesson of unity and bonds. The demonstrstion of Wrestling competition was made by Madan Lal Pahalwan. Students taking part in the Wrestling coaching camp were Parshotam Singh, Govind Singh, Som Raj, Parkash Singh, Munish Chand, Ramesh Singh, Sandeep Singh, Bhushan Singh, Raj Inder Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Ankesh Chand and Mohan Lal.
