NC govt callous towards peoples’ problems: PDP | | | Early Times Report Vijaypur, July 1: Terming National Conference led coalition as non performing liability, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today regretted that during the last two and half year this regime has befooled the people in one or other way.
Addressing a function organized by a local leader here today, PDP general secretary Thakur Balbir Singh said that ruling National Conference has lost credibility among the people due to its mis-governance and ‘rampant’ corruption. He alleged that since its formation this regime has indulged into corrupt practices. Lambasting NC led coalition regime for its failure to bring transparency and accountability in the administration, he observed that legalizing corruption and nepotism was the only noticeable achievement of the two year tenure of regime headed by Omar Abdullah.
Singh regretted that the present dispensation has betrayed people of Jammu and Kashmir because all promises made with the people during the Assembly elections remained on papers. He remarked that during the last two and half year this government has failed to even connect itself with the common masses not to say of solving problems their problems.
He regretted that common masses in the state have been struggling with number of problems but the members of the ruling coalition have been using state resources for their personal comforts. Speaking on the occasion, senior PDP leader and former Legislative Council member Ved Mahajan regretted that state government has deliberated made important institutions non functional just to hide its misdeeds. He especially mentioned towards State Accountability Commission and State Information Commission which have become non functional due to its casual approach.
