Impressive 8-wkt win for Youngster Club | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 01: Youngster Cricket Club (YCC) defeated Data Sher Singh Cricket Club comfortably by eight wickets in a low scoring match to move into the next round of Narinder Sharma Memorial Cricket Tournament underway at MA Stadium, here today. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, Data Sher Singh Club (DSSC) bowled out for 67 runs in 17.1 overs of the 20 overs game. In reply, YCC chased making 71 runs in 10.2 overs for the loss of two wickets. Digvijay Singh was top scorer with 17 runs while Satish Saini and Amit Saini contributed 15 and 10 runs respectively. From YCC, Vicky Dogra was most successful bowler, who clinched four wickets for eight runs in 3.1 overs. Ashish bagged two, while Sahil Kumar, Mohd Shafqat and Arif Hussain shared apiece each. Chasing the target, YCC made a confident start and overhauled the opponent total in just 10.2 overs with eight wickets in hand. Arif Hussain and Shabir Ahmed (not out) were main scorers with 30 and 22 runs in their respective accounts. Amit Saini and Rohit Bhardwaj took one wicket each from DSSC. This match was officiated by Ashwani Sharma and Harsh Nayyar as umpires while Gokul Verma was scorer.
