| RCF enters semis of Martyrs Football | | | Early Times report
SRINAGAR, July 01: Rail Coach Factory (RCF) Kapurthala in Punjab today became second team after Punjab Police reach the semi-finals of the ongoing 13th J&K Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament at Bakshi Stadium, here.
In the quarterfinal, played this afternoon, RCF trounced Food and Supplies by a solitary goal.
Meanwhile, in another quarterfinal of the day, J&K Forest Department defeated West Bengal to pave way for the last four stages of the prestigious tournament. J&K Forest won the match 5-4 in a high scoring game.
Now, in the semi-final, to be played tomorrow, RCF Kapurthala shall take on equally good side of Punjab Police at 4 pm at Bakshi Stadium.
Earlier, today’s matches were witnessed besides others by Additional Director General of Police Armed, Law and Order, K Rajendra Kumar.
