| Haji Nisar inspects Srinagar-Kargil road | | | JAMMU, NOV 26
In order to take stock of problems and ensure safe passage of stranded vehicles and passengers on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Kargil road, the Minister for Social Welfare Haji Nisar Ali today conducted an extensive inspection of the road.
Nearly 400 passengers and 50 heavy vehicles of Army, Police, Beacon and HCC carrying essentials are stranded at various stations over the way due to blockade of the road at different places.
The Minister said that men and machinery are striving hard to clear the blockade for ensuring safe passage of the stranded vehicles to their respective destinations.
Earlier, the Minister visited the Minister for Transport, Hakim Mohd. Yasin at Budgam and condoled the demise of his brother. He prayed for the departed soul and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
