Chopra murder family | Simblia remanded to 10 day judicial custody | | Early Times Report jammu, July 2: The court today granted ten day judicial remand to one of the accused, Rajinder Singh alias Raju Simblia. The murders of Cement Tycoon RB Chopra, his wife Madhu Chopra, his daughter Solani Chopra and driver and servant took place on September 18, 2006. Today Special Investigation Team produced Rajinder Singh alias Raju Simblia son of Darshan Singh resident of Simbal Camp Ward 4, Jammu in the Court of Special Municipal Mobile Magistrate Jammu, with the request to grant fifteen days judicial remand of the Raju Simblia. Special Municipal Mobile Magistrate Jammu SS Bali after considering the application filed by SHO P/S Bahu-Fort Jammu SS Jamwal and Incharge Special Investigating Team Anand Jain SSP Jammu, seeking 15 days judicial remand of accused Raju Simblia, perused the application as well as Case Dairy files, observed that CD files reveals that the accused person has been arrested on June 18, 2011 in FIR NO 107/2006 u/s 302/396/120-B/109/201 RPC. Court further said that keeping in view that nature of the allegations and stage of investigation, Court find no good ground to reject the application and granted ten days judicial remand of Raju Simblia with the direction to Supt Jail to keep the accused separate from other accused persons involved in the said FIR and lodged in District Jail Jammu. —JNF |
