| Mock interviews at SR College | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 03: To prepare the students for the forthcoming interviews of KAS, conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC), the SR College of Competitions conducted Mock Interviews inviting penal of experts.
During these interviews, the students were asked questions from different fields by the members of the panel and subsequently corrected them so as to guide them to the right earnest.
The panel of experts conducted the interviews posing questions, seeking views asking for objective appreciation and analysis of matters relating to personal profile of the candidates. As also, issues relating to the society, state and country besides current affairs of national and international importance.
Students were also guided regarding desirable attributes which are expected of a Civil Servant, like honesty, integrity, sincerity, clarity of thoughts and expressions as also ability to take decision, self belief and confidence, positive approach, politeness and leadership qualities.
In the meantime, a senior most panelist and visiting faculty from Delhi, Vikas Singh briefed the young interviewees saying that they should listen to the question carefully, pause before answering and mention the most important points first.
“Mock interviews aim at creating the personality test environment where a candidate is interviewed by a penal of experts to gauge the depth of one’s preparation and to identify one’s shortcomings. Such exercise helps in imparting confidence and self belief.
