SC/ST/OBC confederation condemn KAS seniority list | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 3: SC/ST/OBC Confederation has alleged that the recently released KAS seniority list is full of anomalies as all the officers belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories have been shown at the bottom.
While addressing the media persons, the state President of SC/ST/OBC confederation R K Kalsotra categorically condemn the step taken by the Government and termed it as a total violation of SC/ST/OBC Reservation Act 2004 and Reservation Rules issued vide SRO 294 read with SRO 144. The final seniority list of KAS Officers was issued Vide Government Order No. 743-GAD of 2011 Dated 24-06-2011
Kalsotra further added that some blue eyed officers who are beneficiaries in the game plan are posted with some political figures in the civil secretariat and have managed the distraction in the seniority list in the garb of PSC merit list determined 10 years ago which is applicable at the entry level and are now only trying to get further promotions at the cost of reserved candidates.
He said that only those Supreme Court judgments are implemented in the state which impair the progress of SC/ST/OBC’s, while as the judgments of the Supreme Court of India dated 26-02-2007 titled Vijay Singh Charak Vs Union of India case has not been taken care as it directly relates to preparing year wise select list rather than vacancies accrued all along the last six years have been clubbed together while making induction in the year 2008.
He alleged that the final seniority list issued vide Govt Order No. 743-GAD of
2011 Dated 24-06-2011 were issued with malafide intention towards reserved categories and demands its immediate revocation. He said that in case the Govt fails to revoke the Govt. order No. 743-GAD of 2011 Dated 24-06-2011 and tentative seniority list issued vide Govt. Order No. 485-GAD Dated 21-04-2010 is not finalized as such within a period of one week, they will launch a state vide protest from July 10, 2011.
Kalsotra appealed to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Dy Chief Minister Tara Chand, Ministers, MLAs and MLCs especially belongs from SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories to get the anomalies incorporated in the final seniority list confirmed and finalized where in due share to the officers belonging to SC/ST/OBCs has been overlooked.
