Junior Khalsa enter final of Narinder Cricket | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 03: Junior Khalsa Cricket Club (JKCC) today entered the final of the ongoing Narinder Sharma (Shanga) Memorial Cricket Tournament, organised by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at MA Stadium, here. In the second semi-final, JKCC registered a big 63 runs victory over Youngster Cricket Club. Now, Junior Khalsa shall take on Luxmi Cricket Club in the final, to be played on a later date. Earlier, batting first, JKCC set a target of 157 runs for the loss of nine wickets in stipulated 30 overs. Ranjeet Singh was top scorer with 28 runs while Preet Pal Singh and Davinder Singh contributed 26 and 24 runs respectively. Harinder Pal (17) and Gurpreet Singh (12) were other scorers. From Youngster Club, Ashu bagged three wickets while Vicky Dogra and Goutam took two each. Later, Youngster could not chase the total and the whole side bowled out for 93 runs in 20.4 overs. Ashu was highest scorer with 16 runs while Arif and Ashwani added 10 runs each. Gurpreet Singh was most successful bowler, who claimed five wickets for 22 runs in six overs. Pritpal Singh and Sushant clinched two wickets each. Today’s second semi-final was officiated by Ashwani Sharma and Harsh Nayyar.
