JURSEA criticizes PSC

Jammu, July 3: The Jammu University Research Scholar’s Executive Association (Jursea) noticed that there are lot of problems that are being faced by the students and the scholar of this University and nothing has been done so far by the government to overcome with the problems that are being faced by the students and the scholar.

Addressing the media persons here JURSEA President Rakesh Chib strongly condemned the recent decision of the PSC to limit the age bar from 35 to 30 and 37 to 32 in case of general and reserved categories respectively. He also said that PSC has taken the decision without any logic and this should be immediately revoked.



He raised suspicion over the selection procedure of J&K PSC and alleged that several qualified candidates were ousted by the commission, whereas the candidates with comparatively lesser qualification declared successful. He further said that Jammu students were no less than valley students then how latter outsmarted former in such a big manner, as he said there is a huge difference between the selected candidates from Jammu and valley.

Rakesh demanded the interview both region candidate should be own region because PSC has its good offices in Jammu and Kashmir and therefore there is no problem in holding the interviews in both the offices for particular candidates.

He also said that a candidate appearing for interview from jammu has a long travel to reach Srinagar and female candidate it become all the more difficult to travel alone and stay there because yatra going on and very rush there.

Rakesh Chib asked that PSC to come out with an explanation over the issue at the earliest.

He also demanded that maximum weight age should be given to the M.phil and PhD Degrees in the selection process. Chib condemned the use of pencil by the selection committee as the marking/ grading awarded by the committee can be changed after the interview time.
