| Man found murdered at Akhnoor | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 03: The disfigured body of a man was today recovered by police from a nullah at Mandrian Jagir in Akhnoor.
The body, with head and face crushed beyond recognition, was first spotted by some passersby, according to police sources.
After the matter came to their notice, cops reached the spot and evacuated the body to the mortuary of sub-district hospital, Akhnoor.
With the help of locals, the dead was later identified as Kuldip Singh, son of Rangil Singh of Akhnoor. After post-mortem, the body was handed over to his family for last rites.
Sources said Kuldip's head and face seemed to have been crushed with some heavy object.
Police had registered a case in this connection and launched a manhunt to lay hands on the unidentified accused. |
