| Nirvana Academy organizes workshop on Dogri folk music | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, July 4: Ten day long workshop on Dogri folk music organized by Nirvana Academy concluded today at Aarohi Kala Sangeet Vidhalaya, Subash Nagar Jammu.
State Award winner and veteran writer, poet and singer Praduman Singh Jindrahia was the chief guest on the occasion.
Kuldeep Kumar trained 20 budding and talented singers who took part in the workshop. Today a programme was organized in which participants performed in front of the chief guest and received valuable tips from the guest.
Joginder Kumar and Kuldeep Kumar accompanied participants on tabla and harmonium. Praduman Singh told on the occasion that the youth of Jammu is very talented but they need right platform to explore their talent. He gave tips to improve Dogri pronunciation of the participants and asked them to learn more Dogri folk songs.
Speaking on the occasion President Nirvana Academy Hitesh Badyal thanked the chief guest and said that Nirvana Academy will organize a programme to provide platform to the participants in which they will sing Dogri compositions of Praduman Singh Jindrahia. Others who were present on the occasion were secretary PR and Publicity Nishant Vaid, Prince, Salim Khokhar, Santosh Sharma and Tandeep Kour.
