Royal Bijyanta, Badrori enter QFs of Pawan Cricket

AKHNOOR, July 04: Royal Bijyanta Cricket Club (RBCC) and Badrori Cricket Club (BCC) today qualified for the quarterfinals of the ongoing 3rd Pawan Memorial Twenty20) Cricket Tournament at Government Higher Secondary School ground, here.
Earlier, in the first pre-quarterfinal of the day, RBCC registered a 14 runs win over Patel-B. Batting first, RBCC set a target of 142 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Vimarsh Kaw played splendid innings of 94 (off 59 balls) runs. Naresh and Chetan were other contributors with 10 runs each.
From Patel-B, Harjot bagged four wickets while Ricky took two. For his brilliant knock, Vimarsh Kaw was declared man of the match.
Meanwhile, in another second round match, Badrori Club made it a fine 67 runs win over Cantt Cricket Club Jammu.
Earlier, batting first, BCC set a challenging target of 179 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Bhanu Partap was highest scorer with 40-ball 62 runs while Ranji and Sumit contributed 32 and 25 runs respectively. Sahil was most successful bowler from Cantt Club with three wickets, followed by Dheeraj and Dany, who bagged two and one respectively.
Later, Cantt Club could make only 121 runs losing all their wickets in 19.4 overs. Ravi and Parshotam were top scorers with 23 and 38 runs in their respective accounts. Vishal claimed three wickets from BCC while Bhanu Partap and Karan shared two each.
For his all-round performance, Bhanu Partap was declared man of the match.
