| Aseem new president Rotary Club | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 4: Rotary Club Jammu Tawi elected Aseem Tandon as their president for the tenure 2011-12 in a function here today.
He function was presided over by ex-district Governor Rotary club G.S. Bawa. Minister for Revenue, Raman Bhalla was the chief guest on the occasion.
Outgoing president Dr Dushyant Choudhary highlighted the work done by the club and said that number of blood donation camps and medical camps have been conducted with the help of senior specialist of Escorts Hospital and Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu. He said that number of educational seminars were also organised at different colleges.
Newly elected president Aseem Tondon listed his priorities by promising continuity in the work done by Dr Dushyant Choudhary and for working with the under- privileged people of the rural areas and to work very hard in completing , the Mata Amar Dei , Rotary eye Hospital at Raya in district Samba.
Revenue Minister Raman Balla applauded the role of rotarians in the service of needy people and assured of his continued patronage for Rotary projects.
Many others present included Deputy Commissioner DC Jammu Sanjeev Verma, Presidents of Jammu Province based Rotary Club and Chairman Dr Sarabjit Kour.
Rotarian PP Harish Gulati gave a vote of thanks to all the participants and profoundly thanked Raman Bhalla for his generous contribution for development of Rotary Children Park and Rotary Bhavan.
