| Jr Clerk of Emp Deptt arrested, AD suspended | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Bandipora, July 4:
Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Lone has placed Assistant Director Employment and Counseling Department, Bandipora under suspension for remaining un-authorizedly absent from duty.
Meanwhile, on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner, the ADC and SHO, Bandipora raided the Employment office and recovered bribe money of Rs. 5000 from the possession of an employee (Junior Assistant), Mohammad Sultan Itoo. According to ADC, the employee had demanded Rs. 5000 for sanctioning loan in favour of applicant Shakir Ahmad Haji, R/o Nowpora.
Shakir Ahmad brought this matter into the notice of Deputy Commissioner and on his instruction raid was conducted and the said amount was recovered from the concerned clerk on the spot.
Police have arrested the Junior Clerk and registered a case against him. The Deputy Commissioner also suspended the said Junior clerk.
