IRCS organizes free medical camp

SRINAGAR, July 4: One day free medical cum health awareness camp was organized by Regional Branch Kashmir of Indian Red Cross society (IRCS) in coordination with Forest division Langate at village Monabal district Kupwara. 465 patients were given free consultation while free medicines were also distributed among the patients especially Chronic cases, pregnant ladies and the children suffering from mal-nutrition.
The camp was organized by the Regional Red Cross Branch Kashmir and divisional forest officers.
Later, a meeting was held with the forest officers and youth of the area to develop a core group of volunteers to help the poor and needy persons. The Secretary, on the occasion, stressed upon the youth to reach out to every poor and needy person and also submit a list for enrolment as life members of the IRCS and First Aid Training Programme, 23 volunteers of Sultan-ul-Arifeen Youth Club, Rajpora, Handwara also participated.
